We wanted to remind you of the Pancake Breakfast that Mountain Watch will be hosting next Sunday, August 2nd from 8:30am to 11:30am, to celebrate the construction of the new Mission Blue Native Plant Greenhouse. Just be sure that you watch for the sign north of the Fire Station which will direct you where to park. The Pancake Breakfast will be taking place in the grassy area behind the Fire House, so please do not park in front of it. The firefighters need to have their lot clear in case of an emergency. Plus, you'll be in closer proximity to the hot cakes!
There was plenty of cause for celebration last Friday. We'll let the pictures do the talking as they walk us through the unveiling of the Volunteer of the Year Boulder where many past recipients made it out (come check out the boulder in front of City Hall which has their names emblazoned on the plaque!), followed by the kick-off to the Concerts in the Park series which took place immediately afterwards.
Mayor Richardson with Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission Chair Renee Marmion.
Applauding the praiseworthy efforts of past Volunteer of the Year recipients.
Looking on in anticipation as the boulder is unveiled.
Past recipients gather around the Mayor and the new Volunteer of the Year Boulder.
Jumping to the beats put forth by the California Cowboys!
Looks like a fun time in Brisbane, doesn't it? Well, you're in luck - another fantastic band is performing tonight in the Park! Come down at 6:00pm with your lawn chairs and get ready to get out of them because the dance party band Livewire will be here! See you there!
