Emergency Evacuation Drill TOMORROW

Emergencies can happen at any time. Raising awareness and instilling a responsible attitude for broadly-based community action to reduce this threat is the only viable approach to reducing the loss of life and property. Local governments around the Bay want to ensure that their residents are educated with the proper evacuation procedures and thus, as part of its “Wildland Pre-Fire Attack Plan,” the City will be simulating an ordered evacuation of Kings Road residents tomorrow, July 28th, at 9:00 am. This effort is designed to test and practice an effective response to emergency evacuation instances, and we hope that tomorrow’s drill will be one in which the community can come together and learn how they can better prepare themselves and their loved ones before the next big one occurs. But information alone won’t save lives…let’s make sure we all DO OUR PART, and put our knowledge into action.
